Kitten Gordy's life was heaven's Christmas gift to us. He was the biggest God-wink we received during our service. A lovely island lady found him crying in a field the day before she left for her six-week vacation and asked us to care for him until her return!! Too tiny to feed himself, we fed him with an eye dropper the first week. Through those weeks we giggled at his antics as he grew and learned about himself and his little world. Our life was full of his feeding times (he graduated from eye dropper to baby cereal to fish & macaroni), play times (we made and found toys), sleep times (his bed in our shower held a jar of hot water). Caring for him was a welcome distraction from our mounting frustrations and homesickness over The Most Blessed Season.
