The concept is approved. Fliers announcing the contest will be delivered in person to both schools before Easter Break, leaving four months for island artists to work on their entries. How exciting!Last year's contest drew out (ouch - a pun) artists, judges, sponsors, organizers, and supporters. I am confident it will be even more successful this year!
Last year's entries are on display in the Center's classroom, generating lots of oohs and aahs from all who enter. We used the authentic local art with credits of course on our fliers, posters, and merchandise tags. The artists smile and enjoy being local celebrities, and Certificates of Appreciation are proudly displayed in the sponsors' shops.
