Our last trip of the day to the shop yielded no stove gas yet.
Busy blogging about the gas travails. And the electricity went out. That means no tap water either.... or Internet. Wellll... we can do this. We're veterans after the October 4-7 three-day power/water outage. Light the candles. Put jugs of hoarded tap water next to each sink for washing. Get buckets of cistern water to flush the toilet. And head to the square to see if they're cooking ribs.
Chicken, no ribs. One order fried, one order bar-B-qued plus french fries. Eaten by candle light at home. Sweet.
The stars tonight are amazing. Billions and billions of 'em. We can see the Milky Way. How can our tiny town on our tiny island give off enough light to obscure most of the universe?
We can see the fireflies tonight, too. Just a few blinking in the bushes. We're reminded that they have no use for electricity... or gas... or water. Don't we humans feel fragile in comparison!
